Cult Publishers Expo 13th October 2012

Yesterday (12th October 2012) I spent an hour or so at the Kennington Cinema Museum (website) near Elephant and Castle visiting the Cult Publishers Expo (website). An interesting venue this played host to a busy theatre room holding 40 which was running a sequence of talks from all the attending publishers.

I spent my time network in the dealer room on the first floor (this wasn’t quite a convention but that is the nearest analogy) meeting a few people from a couple of the publishers present. I am not sure how good the footfall was but I gather it might be repeated next year in which case I recommend it.

Any event like this is useful to a writer – it gets you meeting up with other writers and publishers in an informal way that allows for some decent conversation and a chance to improve your network if nothing else.

You may not write in the field of cult fiction but the advice is to look for similar events within your own field of interest.

Do drop me a line if you were there or know of something similar being held in the UK
