As NaNoWriMo 2014 winds into its final week, you’ve probably taken stock of progress. I don’t know how you’ve each done but I know what’s happened in the round. Some have done it, some are on the final few thousand words, some are about there, some need that last little push. Some are nowhere near, some just couldn’t make it happen this time and some had fate intervene – there are other priorities in life.
With the final week underway, most people that have crossed 40,000 words will make it – some of my NaNo Buddies already have (I’m above target for the first time all month). If you need one last push then take a moment and imagine yourself crossing the line on Saturday (allowing a day of rest;-) then go and do it.
If you get to Sunday midnight and haven’t made 50,000 words change your perspective. Even if you only have 12,000 words that’s still 12,000 words you didn’t have in October. You will have an achievement to look back on, even if it isn’t the one you first aimed at.
Catch you in December!
