Three small presses for sci-fi writers

printing pressAs I mentioned, I spent time at Dysprosium 2015 and spoke to many people about many things. I thought I’d give mention to three small presses, all of whom should be on the list of any (UK?) science fiction author.

I present them in alphabetical order.

Alchemy Press: they have 2015 planned out and don’t accept unsolicited manuscripts. They are interested in pitches for collections. Website: The Alchemy Press

Elsewhen Press: they are currently closed for submissions but when open are keen to have book length manuscripts from new authors. Website: Elsewhen Press

Newcon Press: are a larger scale enterprise, launched by Ian Whates as an independent publisher in 2006. Ian has written numerous short stories, some novels and edited many collections. The stable of writers includes Paul Cornell. Website: Newcon Press
