Uncanny Magazine is an online only outlet, worth exploring if you are a writer of short stories in either science-fiction or fantasy. They look for stories of between 750 and 6,000 words, paying $0.08 per word. Interestingly this includes audio rights. If you’re interested in more details, here is their submissions page.
They also look for artwork, don’t linked reprints and are not currently looking for poetry (but have done).
More about Uncanny Magazine
One thing I find attractive about this outlet is the calibre of the editors – Hugo winner Lynne M Thomas and Hugo nominee Michael Damian Thomas. I know where I’m submitting my next short story!
If you know of any similar outlets, let me know and I’ll mention them here!
