AI and writing

AI will change writingI’m sure I’ve mentioned the ProWritingAid newsletter before, but if not here’s an overdue prompt. It comes out every month, and apart from inevitable sales messages, there’s reference to varied and interesting content on their blog. One such is How AI is Changing the Face of Literaturea piece by Jennifer Xue.Artificial Intelligence and writing

It lacks a little in the way of specifics near the end, but is worth reading just to bring awareness of how AI is likely to impact our future as writers. I happened to spend a few months last year looking into AI, so may well blog on this topic myself at some point soon.

Do have a read and tell me what you think. Is AI going to make writers redundant any day soon? Are they already here? Given we all know (at least) what the letters AI stand for, I’d say the concepts are prevalent, even if people might struggle to pin down specific examples of where it’s used.
